Ingredients

Matcha Base

  • 1 tsp high-quality matcha
  • 2 oz hot water (175°F / 80°C)
  • 3 oz milk (any milk)
  • ½–1 tsp sugar recommended (matcha needs a little sweetness to balance the pistachio foam)

Pistachio Foam

  • 1.5 tbsp Absolutely Nuts 20% Pistachio Cream
  • 1.5 tbsp heavy cream
  • 0.5 tbsp milk (any milk)
  • Tiny pinch of salt (optional but recommended)

Instructions

1. Make the Matcha

  • Add 1 tsp matcha to a bowl.
  • Pour 2 oz hot water (not boiling).
  • Whisk until smooth and frothy.
  • Add 3 oz milk.
  • Add ½–1 tsp sugar (recommended for balance).

2. Make the Pistachio Cream Foam

In a small bowl or glass add:

  • 1.5 tbsp Absolutely Nuts pistachio cream
  • 1.5 tbsp heavy cream
  • 0.5 tbsp milk
  • Pinch of salt

Whisk for 20–25 seconds until glossy, thick, and pourable, not stiff.

  • Texture: like melted soft ice cream.
  • If too thick add ½ tsp milk.
  • If too thin whisk 5–10 sec more.

3. Assemble

  • Pour matcha base into the cup (or over ice).
  • Spoon/pour pistachio foam on top.
  • Add crushed pistachios for garnish.
